Our Hull office based Commercial Property Surveyor Nick Coultish has, this week, been awarded the Master of Science (MSc) Real Estate with Merit, from the University College of Estate Management (UCEM) - a further step on his career path to become a Chartered Surveyor.

Nick joined the team in early 2015 with a degree in Geography from the University of Hull. Alongside gaining day-to-day hands on experience with our firm, the Masters course assisted Nick in developing the knowledge, understanding and critical thinking required to practice as a Commercial Property Surveyor.

The route to obtain Chartered status involves obtaining an accredited qualification. Completion of the Master's degree allows Nick to progress onto the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) course, as the qualification is accredited by the RICS and meets the educational requirements for membership. He is now in the last year of his training and in twelve months' time will look to satisfy the requirements of the APC process, which involves continued development of his surveying knowledge with the preparation of a case study, which has to be presented to an interview assessment panel.

From all of the team at Scotts, well done Nick!
