We have an opportunity for an experienced individual to join our dynamic, well-respected property consultancy business. This is a senior role reporting directly to the Partners.

The successful applicant will have established accounts experience, will have worked within a busy office, managing staff, and will be able to allocate their time efficiently, undertaking a multifaceted role.

The ideal candidate will be confident, presentable, a good communicator and able to use their own initiative as well as possessing a willingness to adapt and learn.

The role predominantly involves the financial aspects of managing a large portfolio of residential and commercial properties across the UK.

This includes:

  • Managing and overseeing the sales and purchase ledgers

  • Utilisation of bespoke property management software

  • Accurate maintenance of client account records

  • General financial reporting to clients including the provision of VAT information

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Preparation of Year End accounts for service charges

  • Ensuring policies and procedures adhere to HMRC & RICS guidelines

  • Providing and interpreting financial information both internally and externally

  • Line managing accounts staff

In addition, the role also involves overseeing the financial operations of the wider business, ensuring accurate invoice allocation, the scheduling of payments to suppliers and contractors, cash management, bank reconciliations, the submission of VAT returns and liaising with external accountants in the preparation of the firm’s accounts. A good working knowledge of Xero accounting software is essential.

The ideal candidate will be AAT Level 4 or above but other qualifications or experience will be considered.
