As regional property experts we have further cemented our position in the Humber region with the acquisition of long established firm Haller Evans.

With a history that can trace its roots back to the late 19th Century, when its precursors H Evans and Sons and J F Haller & Co were established, the Hull based firm of Chartered Surveyors advises on the valuation, sale, letting and management of residential property across Hull and the East Yorkshire area. In addition, the firm are renown for their knowledge of antique furniture, paintings and jewellery with expertise in probate valuations being a particular specialty. However, it is the property lettings and management function which is the mainstay of the business and how many people will have come across the firm.

Managing Partner Lawrence Brown said ”As a multi disciplined firm we have clients throughout the UK across a variety of sectors. We are probably better known in the Hull area as commercial property advisors but we’ve been advising clients with residential property for many years, just perhaps under the radar.”

The acquisition of Haller Evans follows on the back of strong performance after the acquisition, in August 2020, of Grimsby based Chartered Surveyors and residential estate agents Canters and residential property management firm Chisholm and Co.

Hull based Partner Tim Powell said ”We’ve been looking for the right opportunity to expand our operations in the Hull area for some time. We had to make sure that any business had the same shared vision as us with a focus on customer service and a concentration on client relationships. We are pleased that we’ve ticked all those boxes.”

Haller Evans owner Liz Haller said ”It was really important to me to ensure that the strong relationship that Chris Evans and I nurtured and developed with clients was protected into the future and the personal connection wasn’t lost by a corporate entity.”

She continued “I’m remaining with the business, as are the existing team and the Haller Evans name is staying too. That’s what people know and trust. We’re all really looking forward to working with our new colleagues.”

Merging of systems and the integration of staff will take place over the next few months with the enlarged team operating from our offices on Humber Street, in the heart of Hull’s revitalised Fruit Market area.
